Timemates- not soulmatesHaving gone through a rough break up several months ago, with someone I was dating for almost two years, people tend tended to try and console me, as I was rather unhappy. This is almost amusing for me, because I can separate the grief from myself and almost “watch”, like from a disembodied head, as I am depressed but at the same time can laugh at the clichés that come flying out from people’s mouths. I luckily didn’t get the “there’s always more fish in the sea”, line, because I think I would have killed someone, but things such as “You’ll find your soulmate”, and “hey, maybe sometime later it’ll work” did occur.
